The recent appointment of Bro. Quadri Olalekan Agbaje as the new Vice President 1 of Anwar-Ul Islam Movement Association of Nigeria (AIMN) has been widely hailed as a well-deserved recognition of his dedication, leadership, and commitment to service.
This appointment described by the National Officers of AYAN as “a round peg in a round hole,” Bro. Agbaje’s elevation from National Chairman of AYAN to National Vice President 1 of AIMN reflects the Movement’s confidence in his vision, experience, and integrity.
His appointment is seen as a strategic step towards strengthening AIMN’s mission of promoting spiritual growth, moral reawakening, and national transformation through faith-based initiatives and to serve as a link between the youth wing and the parent body.
Bro. Agbaje has, over the years distinguished himself as a servant-leader, known for his humility, organizational strength, and passion for growth. His leadership style combines discipline with compassion, earning him respect across the state councils.
He has moved through the ranks of Anwar Ul Islam community in numerous key roles, including Branch Secretary, Vice Chairman, and Chairman of Ikorodu Division 1. His unwavering commitment was further evident in his tenure as Former Chairman of the Shurah Committee for Lagos State Council. As an active member of the National Executive Council (NEC), he has served in various committee which includes Publicity committee, National Ramadan Committee, Youth Affairs Committee, Business Committee among others.
In addition, he has played a pivotal role in driving the progress of the Anwar-Ul Islam Movement of Nigeria by also served as member of National Conference Committee and until recently appointed chairman of the National Conference and Turbaning Committee that was just concluded,
Moreover, he currently holds the esteemed position of General-Secretary of the Muslim Community of Lagos State (MCLS).
Within the youth arm of the Movement, Bro. Quadri’s contributions have been nothing short of transformative. Rising through the ranks, he has served as National Secretary-General and, most recently, as the immediate past National Chairman of AYAN.
In congratulating him, members of Anwar-Ul Islam Youth Association of Nigeria commended the National Executive Council of AIMN for making a wise choice, noting that Bro. Agbaje’s wealth of experience and strong moral compass will further energize the objectives and aims of the whole Organization.
As Vice President 1, he is expected to work closely with the AIMN President and other executives to expand the Organization’s outreach, strengthen partnerships with faith communities, and enhance its impact in promoting positive values within the society.
Indeed, many believe his appointment marks the beginning of a new era of purposeful leadership within the Movement, one driven by integrity, excellence, and spiritual commitment.
