AbdulRazaq Hosts Ansar-ud-Deen National Delegation, Reaffirms Commitment to Educational Development

Kwara State Governor and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, received a delegation of the Ansar-ud-Deen Society of Nigeria at the Ahmadu Bello House in Ilorin. The delegation was led by the Society’s newly elected National President, Prince Mosediq Adeniji-Kazeem, SAN, on a courtesy visit.

During the meeting, the Governor commended the Ansar-ud-Deen Society for its longstanding dedication to promoting educational advancement and religious harmony across Nigeria. He also congratulated Prince Kazeem on his new leadership role, wishing him a successful tenure.

Governor AbdulRazaq highlighted the administration’s continued investment in education and healthcare infrastructure. “When we assumed office, the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital was the only functional medical training facility in the state. Today, we have expanded that landscape,” he noted.

He cited the establishment of the Kwara State University Teaching Hospital at the General Hospital, Ilorin, as a major milestone. In addition, Sobi Specialist Hospital now serves as a teaching hospital for Al-Hikmah University, while General Hospital, Omu-Aran has been affiliated with Thomas Adewumi University for medical training purposes.

“These deliberate efforts are aimed at producing more medical professionals to meet the growing healthcare needs of our people,” the Governor said.

He expressed appreciation to the Ansar-ud-Deen leadership for the visit and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to partnerships that foster development and unity.

“I thank the Society for its visit and wish the new leadership continued success in its noble mission,” the Governor concluded.
