The Kwara State Government has initiated a special intervention to address outstanding complaints related to salary and pension payments for civil servants and pensioners across the state.
A statement from the State Commissioner for Finance, Dr. Hauwa Nuru, said the exercise will take place daily from Thursday, July 31 to Monday, August 4, 2025, at all 16 local government headquarters, excluding Sunday, August 3.
The initiative, led by cabinet members representing each LGA and supported by technocrats from relevant Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), aims to resolve all isolated issues hindering the timely payment of salaries and pensions.
“All affected individuals, including serving civil servants and pensioners are required to appear in person with the following: BVN, NIN, KWSRRA Number, PSN Number, recent bank account statement, employment letter, official ID card (work or pension), and any other relevant documentation,” Dr. Nuru stated.
She noted that while the majority of beneficiaries have no issues with their payments, the government recognizes that a few cases still remain unresolved.
“This exercise underscores the Governor’s commitment to ensuring that every legitimate worker or retiree receives their entitlements without delay. It is a final push to clear all pending complaints and restore confidence in the system,” she added.
