Mogaji hails AbdulRazaq’s commitment to World-Class Sports facilities

The Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bolakale Adisa Mogaji, has reaffirmed the state government’s unwavering commitment to transforming the sports sector in Kwara State, under the visionary leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

Speaking in an exclusive interview on Friday, June 20th, 2025, Mallam Mogaji expressed his appreciation for the Governor’s continued investments in sports infrastructure across the state. His remarks came shortly after an update video showcasing the impressive progress of the ongoing rehabilitation of the Kwara State Indoor Sports Hall surfaced on social media platforms yesterday (on Thursday), drawing widespread commendation from sports enthusiasts and stakeholders.

“Our goal is to make a real difference, not just to participate or go through the motions,” Mogaji stated. “Thanks to His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the face of sports in Kwara has truly changed. What we are seeing today — from the renovation of the indoor hall to upgrades of various sporting facilities across the state — is a testament to the Governor’s genuine love for sports development.”

Mallam Mogaji also highlighted that the soon-to-be-completed P.A. Ladipo Indoor Sports Hall, which is now 95% ready, will meet international standards and provide athletes with a world-class environment for training and competition.

“This is the kind of facility that will not only enhance performance but will also inspire our athletes to compete at the highest levels. It will open more opportunities for hosting national and international events right here in Kwara,” he added.

In recent months, Governor AbdulRazaq’s administration has embarked on an aggressive drive to modernize sporting infrastructure in the state — including upgrades to the Kwara State Stadium Complex, the swimming pool, and the establishment of new grassroots sports initiatives aimed at youth development.

Mallam Mogaji concluded by encouraging the people of Kwara State to continue supporting government efforts to build a stronger, more vibrant sports culture, stressing that with the current pace of development, Kwara is well on its way to becoming one of Nigeria’s leading sports hubs.
