Femi Branch prevented from leaving film det after alleged assault on crew member

Veteran Nollywood actor, Femi Branch, was reportedly prevented from leaving a movie set after allegedly assaulting the assistant director during filming.

In a now-viral video circulating on social media, Branch was seen being blocked at the exit gate by security personnel and other crew members, who insisted he must return to complete the shoot. Voices in the background can be heard saying, “You can’t leave here until you go back to finish the remaining shooting.”

Tensions flared as the actor confronted the director, asking, “Did I have business with you? Are you the one that called me on this set? Did you bring me here to insult me or what is the meaning of this?”

In an attempt to de-escalate the situation, the director responded, “Hello sir, can we just start the filming?” However, Branch replied sharply, “Please don’t talk to me. You don’t have control of your set.”

The director then accused Branch of inappropriate conduct, saying, “You are insulting someone on my set. Did I not tell you it was enough during the altercation? You slapped someone—was I not the one you slapped? Oga, no problem. You’ve done your own.”

As the confrontation continued, Branch turned to the security guards at the gate, threatening to report them to the estate management for preventing him from leaving.

“You people are blocking me from driving out, right? I swear to God, I will report you to the management for locking me inside this estate. You must explain your business with our location,” he said.

As of now, neither Femi Branch nor the production team has issued an official statement on the incident.
