The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has advised prospective corps members posted for the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream 1 orientation programme to avoid traveling to camp at night.
The warning was issued by the NYSC Public Relations Officer in Bauchi State, Jacob Unogwu, during a media briefing on Tuesday. He emphasized that the scheme strongly discourages late-night journeys due to safety and security concerns.
Unogwu announced that registration for the 1,700 corps members deployed to Bauchi will take place from July 30 to midnight of July 31 at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Wailo, Ganjuwa Local Government Area.
He also disclosed that the official swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for August 1, while the orientation programme will run until August 19.
“Only those who are verified as authentic graduates will be admitted into the camp,” Unogwu stated, adding that rigorous screening processes will be carried out to prevent impersonation and unauthorized entry.
He urged all participants to strictly follow the camp schedule and regulations, warning that any infractions would attract sanctions in line with the scheme’s operational guidelines.
The PRO further advised corps members to be punctual, responsible, and adhere to the approved dress code throughout the orientation period.
