Brentford have appointed former set-piece specialist Keith Andrews as their new manager, following the exit of Thomas Frank, according to reports on Friday.
Frank, who led Brentford to a 10th-place Premier League finish last season, was recently named the new head coach of Tottenham Hotspur. His departure ends a successful era during which he guided the club back to the top flight in 2021, ending a 74-year absence.
Andrews, 44, is a former Republic of Ireland international who joined Brentford’s coaching staff in 2024 as a set-piece coach. His promotion to head coach marks his first managerial role, having previously served as assistant coach at clubs including Sheffield United, MK Dons, and the Irish national team.
Brentford will kick off the new Premier League season on August 17 with an away fixture against Nottingham Forest, as the club begins a new chapter under Andrews’ leadership.
